2015 In Review

Looking back on the first season of KillBillies, we have a lot to be stoked on. This ragtag bunch of skaters got together with no intention of becoming any sort of discernible organization. Nevertheless, we have managed to accomplish some pretty awesome things when, lets face it, we were pretty much wingin' it.

Regular sessions

We skated A LOT this season. That is pretty incredible when factoring in that pretty much everyone in the crew has to balance skateboarding with work and/or school. At least a few of us were out skating together every single day, and at least one day a week the entire crew was together mobbing pack runs!

Local Events

Lots of swag to give out at the end of the Spokane Slide Jam!

KillBillies put together the most epic event series the Spokane longboarding scene has ever seen! With two race series over the course of the summer, we totaled over 10 outlaw races in Spokane. These races not only kept the team's skills up, but also brought beginning skaters into the scene, created lasting relationships between skaters and local shops, AND raised money for the KillBillies travel fund.

Travel

As mentioned above, through entree fees for our local races we raised enough cash to travel more than ever before. Granted, most of that money came out of our own pockets. But we created a way to save money for the team in a way that was fun, low cost, and benefitted the community.

Traveling brought the team together as a unit better than just about anything. Being trapped in a car that barely has enough room for everyone's gear let alone three to four stanky skaters really breaks down personal boundaries.

Not only did traveling bring the team closer together, but it vastly improved everyone's skating. Traveling to new places with different terrain forces you to adapt and learn new styles of riding. Everyone broadened their personal horizons when it comes to skateboarding.

WE HAD MORE FUN THAN YOU!!!

Last but certainly not least we probably had more fun riding together than just about anyone!

Stoked on 2015!!! 2016 is going to be even better!!!
